It’s in the northern half of the graveyard on a grassy patch under some trees, away from the asphalted path. Spider-Bots are a collectible of tiny robotic spiders spread throughout New York City, which unlock after the “Science Buddy” Main Story Mission. They’re unique as the only collectibles in Spider-Man 2 that aren’t marked directly on the map. Instead, you need to locate all 42 of them by looking for the large, colorful spheres that pulse periodically. This guide applies to the original PS5 version of Spider-Man 2 as well as the 2025 PC version.

In its Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC blog post, for instance, Sony highlights, “new raytracing options with individual quality settings to finetune performance and fidelity across a broad range of hardware configurations”. There’s also talk of settings for raytraced interiors, shadows, and ambient occlusion – adding what Sony calls “an additional layer of believability with realistic shadows and increased depth to the game”. Insomniac Games has crafted something to take advantage of the mighty capabilities of PS5.

They won’t just try to out-fight you, but they’ll also aim to out-think you. Enemies like Kraven the Hunter’s allies use techniques, counters and equipment to stalk Spider-Man like prey, forcing you to change up your tactics. Now you can build up height and speed with web-swinging before quickly switching to Web Wings to glide in areas like Queens, where there are few tall buildings. With the new interactive elements like super slingshots and wind tunnels that act as jet streams, Spider-Man has never been faster in the air. The Biomechanical suit is a unique design by Jerad Marantz specifically for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

The middle section of the game is filled with many similar side quests, which help the player take a break after very tense moments. Following this mission, one of the most enjoyable missions of the game occurs. You can change the abilities from the “Abilities” Menu at any time for Miles. The easiest option for Miles is to play  Mysteriums as they have lots of enemies.

The big twist in Spider-Man 2 is that… well, there’s two Spider-Men. Discussions regarding a proper sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man began during the game’s development, with open story threads for future titles being teased across both it and Miles Morales. Jim Pirri and Tony Todd join the cast as the voices of Kraven and Venom, respectively. Aunt May’s Grave can be found in the graveyard in the north-west corner of the map (north-west corner of Harlem district).

If you still need any combat-related trophies try to pair them up with Collectibles, many of them feature enemies. Getting bronze medals in the Mysterium Challenges is enough for trophy purposes, no need to get silver or gold. All Collectibles get marked when unfogging the map, except Spider-Bots which are unmarked. But Martin Li is only seen about two times before he and Miles fight, and then he isn’t seen again until he’s redeemed and loses his powers.

Venom, one of the key villains of the game is also heavily featured. Since the game lets you play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, this motif of them coming together to overcome their villains. While the first Spider-Man title launched on PS4 and was then remastered for the PS5, Spider-Man Miles Morales was released across both simultaneously. Bestowed by the same force that created Venom, the Black Suit is a Spider-Fan’s dream come true — the strength and ferocity of an alien powerhouse are packed into Peter’s new suit after the lifeform latches onto him. Phin attempts to go through with her plan but this fails as the overloaded reactor almost destroys all of Harlem, and Miles’s mother and his uncle work together to evacuate Harlem. Miles uses that as his chance to talk to Phin, and he convinces her not to go through with it. Ultimately, Phin sacrifices herself to help Miles save the city, by flying him high above the city, so he can release the energy where no one else will be harmed from the explosion besides herself.

PC optimization has long been a tricky part of porting games, though Insomniac has worked to bring the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 up to speed, making it a valid way to play for those who may not have a PlayStation 5. The studio confirmed last year that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would not receive any story-driven DLC content, a decision that likely came as a surprise to players, though the base game features plenty of web-slinging action for players to enjoy. That being said, Spider-Man (2018) switched perspectives between its characters from mission to mission, and this is set to continue in the sequel. The gameplay revealed so far showed that players will be able to switch webheads at specific moments, allowing players to experience the story from both Peter’s and Miles’ points of view. Perhaps the Symbiote saved Harry Osborn, and he subsequently becomes the Venom in this version of the story. It’s unclear how Peter Parker gets the Venom Symbiote, but players will be able to experience him in the iconic black Symbiote suit, which seems to be affecting his personality negatively.

For it to count you have to activate these abilities DURING a Symbiote Surge (after the yellow bar in top right is fully charged and you pressed + to activate it). If you use these abilities without enabling Symbiote Charge it won’t count. 4 of them are automatically unlocked from story progress (unmissable) and 2 are bought from Peter’s skill tree. While the Symbiote Surge is active you have to trigger Symbiote Abilities a total of 25 times. Equip 4 of these abilities and make sure they are all charged and ready before activating the Surge. Then you can spam all 4 abilities in quick succession before the Surge ends.
